Job Summary: The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for our industrial RF and microwave machines, parts, and service. This role requires a seasoned sales leader with a strong background in capital equipment sales, a deep understanding of RF and microwave technologies, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth. The VP of Sales will lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, foster key customer relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
- Analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the team.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment to drive team success.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Sales Operations:
- Oversee the sales pipeline, forecast sales performance, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Implement and optimize sales processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Customer Focus:
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through exceptional service and support.
- Address and resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Drive profitability through effective pricing strategies and cost management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the industrial capital equipment sector.
- Strong technical background and understanding of RF and microwave technologies preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Occasional Duties: As requested by the President and CEO.
