JOB SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the department / hospital.
• Picks up biohazard / hospital trash and soiled linen.
• Performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the Medical Center in an orderly and sanitary condition.

II.TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

• Continuous : pushing and pulling up to 20 psi, seeing, hearing, standing, walking, bending, stooping, forward and overhead reaching, grasping.
• Frequent : pushing and pulling 25 to 60 psi; lifting floor to knuckle, knuckle to shoulder 40 lbs.; shoulder to overhead 20 lbs.

III.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS :

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
• May have some exposure to hazardous chemicals and materials, communicable diseases, and body fluids.
• Work involves performing duties in a small, confined space, ability to negotiates stairs, ramps, and walking uneven ground, and performing tasks sometimes in wet / slippery and hazardous conditions.

IV.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

High School diploma preferred.

B.EXPERIENCE :

• Experience as Housekeeping Aide preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
