User Liaison serves as a liaison between systems personnel and end users, such as a client or business unit. Provides systems analysis to ensure the needs of the user are met. Being a User Liaison may assist in system implementation or training. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Position Summary
Oversees User Services Operations Sunday through Thursday evenings. Shares oversight and responsibilities of the User Services functions that include : Collection Maintenance, Inventory, Microforms Printers / Copiers / Scanners, patron safety and compliance, and stewardship of the building.
Hires, schedules, trains, supervises and evaluates student employees in all aspects of customer service and other functions of the unit.
Required Qualifications Associate’s degree.
At least one year of relevant experience.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Library experience.
Experience searching library catalogs and databases.
Understanding of the mission and the organization of the library. Duties & Responsibilities Provides direct user support of all types : interacts with students, faculty, staff and community users to provide assistance, solve problems and respond to questions and complaints.
Oversees the safety of library users, user compliance with library policies and procedures, and the stewardship of the collections within the Park Library during assigned hours.
Shares responsibility for building supervision and opening and closing.
Troubleshoots and oversees the Print Q, public printer / copiers / scanners and other equipment.
Shares student supervision responsibilities, which includes hiring, budgeting, scheduling, training, evaluating and developing training material with other Access / User Services student supervisors.
Oversees all aspects of collection maintenance, which includes, shifting for space management, shelf-reading, inventory, stack straightening, repair of materials, and cleaning of all library collections.
Assists with events and room set-ups.
Participates with other Access / User Services team members to use a variety of technology tools.
Oversees in house use processes.
Performs in depth searches for missing library materials.
Manages moveable shelving, by troubleshooting and putting in a service request for repair.
Conducts special projects and serves on library committees.
Participates in the Access and User Services Department which includes attending staff meetings and performing related responsibilities.
Meets with other Access / User Services supervisors on a regular basis to share information and work through issues and problems.
Meets regularly with the Coordinator of Access / User Services concerning projects and shared goals, and for problem solving.
Works cooperatively and regularly with staff in other Library and University departments.
Participates in continuing education activities to foster professional development and enhance job skills.
