Underwriting Assistant jobs in Indiana

Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate who is organized, detail-oriented, efficient, and tech savvy to perform the role of Underwriter Assistant in our Sports & Leisure commercial underwriting unit. The ideal candidate will have Commercial Property & Casualty rating/underwriting experience, an understanding of forms and policy structure, be a strong problem solver and have strong technical, written, and oral communication skills.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: NEW BUSINESS, RENEWALS AND ENDORSEMENTS

• Handle daily policy processing of accounts through our policy quote and issuance system.
• Management of renewal cycle; roll-over and preparation of renewal files.
• Coordinate loss runs with Claims and provide loss runs to brokers if required.
• Issue all new line, renewal and endorsement policy documents and deal with brokers as needed on documentation queries.

SKILLS REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance.
• Working knowledge of Commercial Property & Casualty insurance coverage and forms.
• Strong oral and written communication, analytical and computer skills.
• Ability to build and maintain excellent relations with brokers and provide superior service.
• Team oriented and ability to work effectively with peers.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills to meet daily demand and deadlines to fulfill all service requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
