Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Being an Ultrasound Technologist records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. May require an associate degree in a related area. Additionally, Ultrasound Technologist typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Ultrasound Technologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be an Ultrasound Technologist typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Heart Plaza Imaging is a busy outpatient cardiovascular diagnostic center. We perform ultrasound echo and vascular diagnostic studies, venous ablation procedures, and cardiac stress testing.
Job Summary- Performs diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures, assists with venous ablation procedures, provides patient care, order supplies, maintains records/logs, performs various scheduled upkeeps, monitors expiration dates of supplies, chemicals, ect.
- Performs necessary clerical and scheduling.
- Assists Supervisor as requested.
Education- Associates degree in Ultrasound or equivalent as defined by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- 3-5 years cardiac and vascular sonography experience preferred.
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered ARDMS/RDCS or RVT is required, both is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Weekdays - 6:30am to 5:00pm, Shifts and days may vary.
