Looking to hire: Kennel Assistant (part-time)
Mannered Mutts Training, LLC is searching for an attentive kennel assistant to oversee the cleanliness and well-being of the dogs in our care for training. Kennel Assistant team members are responsible for maintaining clean facility spaces, cleaning boarding kennels, potty walking, feeding, medicating, watering, and reporting any concerns regarding the dogs’ care/well being to training staff.
Additionally, Kennel Assistants are responsible for organization in the facility space, assisting with day training drop off/pick ups, maintaining steady laundry flow, washing dishes, daily sweeping & mopping, inventorying & organizing board & train possessions, and completing basic physical inspections & flea checks on in house training dogs. Kennel Assistants will also be involved in assisting the training staff as needed with social sessions with dogs who are working on their people skills.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will have regular availability on the weekends and for a shift or 2 during the week, previous experience with dog/animal care, and an interest in dog behavior & training. Shifts are typically 4-6 hours scheduled in the AM 6-10 am/6-12 or in the PM scheduled 4-8 pm or 2-8 pm with some variability as needed. We are seeking candidates with availability during IU breaks and holidays. This position has room to include more hours if the candidate is interested in the future.

Previous experience caring for animals
