The Organization Development Specialist is a member of Cooper’s Organizational Effectiveness and Learning team who delivers organization-wide engagement and value to our employees at various stages of their careers - from Day 1 Employee Orientation to New Leader and Physician Leadership Development. The ideal candidate is an OD/L&D professional that is confident working with executive leaders as well as frontline clinical and non-clinical team members and brings experience and enthusiasm to help Cooper team members perform and thrive.
Facilitates delivery of various learning, training, and development products, services and processes to meet strategic and tactical needs of managers and staff and to serve HR and organizational purposes.
Effectively uses facilitation techniques to manage groups of all sizes and with various ranges of experience, skills and responsibility to achieve training objectives. Designs effective and engaging learning programs for leaders and supervisory staff at all levels and with various ranges of experience, skill and responsibility using adult learning principles and various models of learning design (interactive, didactic, skill-building) to achieve desired objectives.
Assist the departments work in planning, development, implementing, and monitoring change management strategies to support organization wide initiatives and projects; working with all levels of team members to ensure smooth, effective, team centered changes. Provides back-end administration of classes, courses, and blended programs that may include: routine internal communications, coordination with LMS Administrator, liaison to instructors, vendors, SME, and internal resources, strong communication with team coordinator.
Work with Instructional Designer to prepare well-written, appealing and effective educational materials appropriate to targeted audiences to achieve intended program objective. Facilitate New Employee Orientation as a shared team responsibility and welcome newly hired Team Members at onboarding events to create a positive and educational experience; expand awareness of resources for new hires.
Partners with Engagement and Recognition Specialist in development of trainings and services to support the organizations engagement goals. Conduct follow-up studies to determine effectiveness of training programs by evaluating design, content, and resulting job performance; recommend changes as required.
Support Conference Center needs when required that may include calendar scheduling, meeting technology support, or other service relating to meeting room needs
3-5 years of professional experience; preferred experience in a Human Resources, Communications, Project Management, Development, or and Training. 3-5 years of professional experience; preferred experience in a Human Resources, Communications, Project Management, Development, or and Training. Proven experience leading educational / professional development classes and blended programs with teams and in live/virtual classroom setting; coaching experience a plus. High proficiency using analytical tools (Excel) and performing data analysis; must be proficient in all MS Office products; fluent in all MS Office tools. Strong planning and organization skills; can demonstrate the ability to take a project from ideation to implementation. Strong writing skills and ability to create internal communications and other written deliverables. Positive attitude and willingness to jump in and support team and organizations needs when needed; ability to work on-site a Cooper with the team. A growth mindset; seek out areas for improvement and take initiative. Adaptable to a fast paced and changing environment and continue to move work forward.
