    The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) is currently seeking a Training and Credentialing Sales Specialist to join our creative and passionate team.

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Food Safety and Environmental Health Training and Credentialing Sales Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for driving revenue for our comprehensive food safety and environmental health (EH) training resources and NEHA credentials by leveraging expertise in customer service, lead generation, prospecting, and upselling strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, technical expertise in food safety and EH, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.

    What You Will Do:

    Key Competencies and Responsibilities:
    Sales Generation and Strategy
    • Target Identification and Engagement: Demonstrate expertise in identifying and engaging potential customers within environmental health, private industry, food manufacturing, and academic sectors.
    • Strategic Sales Execution: Implement and refine sales strategies to meet and exceed targets, utilizing in-depth product knowledge and market insights, including industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions.
    • Presentation and Demonstration: Effectively conduct product presentations and demonstrations, showcasing product benefits and addressing customer needs.
    • Closing Sales: Negotiate and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales targets

    Customer Service
    :
    • Relationship Development: Cultivate and sustain long-term relationships with existing customers, including trainers, to promote repeat business and secure referrals.
    • Responsive solutions: Manage customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
    • Customer Insights: Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify product improvement opportunities and inform the development of new offerings.
    • Customer Needs: Customize training solutions to meet specific client needs and requirements

    Compliance and Records Management
    • Record Maintenance: Proficiency in using CRM, AMS, and LMS systems to maintain accurate sales, inventory, price quote, and training records to ensure ASTM/ANSI standard compliance.
    • Reporting: Provide regular sales reports to senior management.

    Product and Solutions Management
    • Market and Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of food safety and EH regulations, standards and best practices.
    • Technical Expertise: Explain complex food safety and EH concepts clearly and effectively to clients.
    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze sales data, market trends and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.

    Education and Skills:
    • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Environmental Health, Business, Marketing, or a related field and/or work experience plus REHS/RS or CP-FS credentials
    • Collaboration: Ability to work across teams to ensure organizational needs are being met
    • Sales Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in sales, preferably in the Environmental Health, Education sector, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Team and Independent Work: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Association Management System (AMS), Learning Management System (LMS) software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs. or less.
    • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
    • Manual dexterity required for operating office equipment.
    • Ability to read required reports and computer screen.

    What We Offer:
    The salary range for this position is $55,000-$60,000 with additional commission based on products sold depending on education, credentials, and experience.

    We also offer a generous benefits package including paid time off and health, dental, and vision plans with the choice of one plan with employee premiums paid 100% by the association. Our benefits also include a five percent of base salary employer contribution to 403b retirement plan; paid short and long-term disability plans, and paid term life insurance.
