    We are in search of a talented, dependable, and hardworking individual to join our team as an Environmental Compliance Specialist.

    Environmental Compliance Specialists work at both underground storage tank (UST) and aboveground storage tank (AST) facilities. Alongside inspections, a crucial part of this role involves providing training to facility employees. These employees serve as the first line of defense against spills that could potentially reach storm drains, ensuring the cleanliness of our waterways.

    AS AN ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST, YOU WILL:

    • Conduct regulatory visual inspections at gas stations and other UST and AST facilities.
    • Effectively communicate crucial information to assist our clients in maintaining compliance with federal, state, district, and local regulations.
    • Complete inspection report forms.
    • Perform additional environmental regulatory audits as required by client and location.
    • Provide training to designated facility employees on required safety and compliance duties as required by client.
    • Act independently and as part of a team to make appropriate compliance recommendations.
    • Perform regular safety checks on all field equipment and complete vehicle inspection reports.

    YOU CAN SUCCEED AT THIS JOB IF:

    • You enjoy working outdoors in the field. This position involves approximately 4 days per week of fieldwork at our customer sites. Typically, one day per week is dedicated to office tasks completed remotely from your home office. (80% field/20% home office)
    • You have the ability to pass the Class A and B UST Operator Training Certification after completing our company-sponsored training program.
    • You work well independently.
    • You have the ability to collaborate with a team.
    • You have a strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
    • You have excellent time management skills.
    • You have excellent written & verbal communication skills.
    • You enjoy problem solving.
    • You are proficient with computers and learning new software.

    FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:

    • Successful completion of the Class A and B UST Operator Training certification is required after completing the company-sponsored training program (required).
    • Personal vehicle to be used for travel between job sites (required).
    • Valid Idaho driver’s license with excellent driving record (required).
    • Ability to pass background screening after a conditional job offer is made and accepted (required).
    • Suitable candidates will be located in or near the job location (required).
    • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
    • Customer Service experience (preferred).
    • Field experience, working outdoors (preferred).
    • Overnight travel may be required (expenses reimbursed).

    PAY:

    • Starting hourly rate will be $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
    • $500 bonus to be paid after your 90-day anniversary.
    • Travel time between your home office and job sites is paid at your regular hourly rate.
    • Mileage between your home office and job sites is reimbursed at IRS standard mileage rates.
    • All training and fees associated with obtaining required certification will be paid.
