Test Pilot Manager oversees pilots who test model aircraft to ensure compliance with federal regulations and product specifications. Determines if model is suitable for flying and testing. Additionally, Test Pilot Manager assists engineering team in developing tests and maneuvers for test pilots. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the head of a unit/department. The Test Pilot Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Tyonek Services Group is providing full on-site / off-site maintenance flight / Functional Check Flight operations to support the US Army Flight Test Directorate AFTD at Redstone Arsenal, AL.
The support will be conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including but not limited to, AR 95-1 and AR 95-20.
Areas for support to be provided include completion of all maintenance test flights on AFTD aircraft, fault isolation and troubleshooting, and management of internal contractor pilot and non-rated crewmember flight records.
