GCI's Telecommunications Interns program is designed to give hands-on experience in a real-world business environment while interfacing with GCI professionals to learn about employment opportunities available within the telecommunications industry. Students will work alongside GCI employees to gain knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to be successful in a business environment while supporting the organization’s mission, vision, and values. On-the-job experience includes working on assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As first point of contact for a high traffic, shared use facility the position will answer general questions, receive maintenance requests, provide wayfinding support, and maintain scheduling for the conference center. Keep accurate inventory for office and breakroom supplies and equipment including stocking and ordering. Coordinate maintenance with internal support departments and external vendors to ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standards. Support event planning including ordering meals, making travel arrangements, scheduling furniture reconfiguration, and ensuring appropriate audio-visual system configuration.

Required: This Internship program is designed for students who have achieved a GPA of 2.8 and offers them the opportunity to learn and be mentored by a GCI manager/supervisor.
