    Job Description :

    The Telecommunications Coordinator assists in the ongoing installation, maintenance and programming the Avaya PBX system / station basic configurations in Communications Manager, Ascom Phone System, System Manager and Aura Messaging Manager.

    Programs phone sets (digital, IP and analog), moves, additions, changes (MACs), programs digital, IP & analog station system configuration, changes, additions or deletions, adds or removes telephones, program requested feature changes, provides voicemail support, programs mailbox configurations, completes password resets, programs feature changes, adds or deletes user mailboxes, adds or deletes distribution lists, provides break / fix services on telephones, replaces telephones, troubleshoots and resolves phone- / data-cabling issues, knowledge of station cabling and jacks, assist in identification and resolution of other vendor line / circuit problems, reaching a solution, troubleshoots issues related to lines / trunks, coordinates and acts as focal point for problem resolution involving service provider.

    Provides technical assistance and guidance to Avaya telephone system users; assist in the performance of the more complex and / or extensive duties.

    Installs, repairs, programs and maintains patient and office telephone systems as well as wireless Ascom devices.Installs and terminates telephones or other types of cables as required.

    Instructs hospital personnel, patients, and physicians in the proper operation of telephones and associated devices.Maintains record of phone system changes and repairs;

    provides status reports to manager as required.Demonstrates appropriate work techniques, monitors adherence to safety standards.

    Provides on-call or emergency call-out services as directed or assigned.Interacts with carrier in the installation and implementation of carrier infrastructureAbility to program routing rules and call processingResolves Helpdesk tickets as assigned

    Required Skills & Qualifications :

    Minimum of high school diploma with 7-9 years related experience or Bachelor's degree in related field with 3 to 5 years' experience in a related field.

    Level of knowledge equivalent to the completion of two (2) years of technical training in Telecommunications Technology.Acquire an in-depth knowledge in the field of communications and the utilization of sophisticated testing equipment.

    Basic knowledge of telephony and associated systems to install various components, voice / data termination as well as the telecom tools used to perform daily activities.

    Ayaya experience preferred.Must demonstrate strong technical abilities, articulate and document requirements and provide detailed records of successful projects and tasks.

    Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve daily trouble tickets in a timely manner.Develop a thorough knowledge of the hospital's equipment, systems, and facilities.

    Healthcare or system experience in a 24x7 environment preferred.Must be available to provide rotational after hours on-call support.
