Teacher Aide partners with one or more teachers to prepare lessons and instruct students. Engages with students individually or in small groups to answer questions and facilitate activities. Being a Teacher Aide helps teachers resolve classroom issues and conflicts. Monitors and evaluates students' performance. Additionally, Teacher Aide typically requires an associate degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Aide works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Alphabetland Preschool LLC is a locally owned business with locations in Waipahu, Pearl City, and Aiea Hawaii. We are currently hiring preschool teacher's aides for Full Time openings at our Waipahu and New Town locations. Education and experience is a plus but we do offer training for the right candidate who meets at least the minimum requirement of a high school diploma. Our preschools are open year round Monday through Friday 6am-5:30pm. Teachers and aides are assigned full time hours within those times. Applicants must be honest, dependable, able to communicate in English verbally and in writing, and love working with young children. Ages 2-5.
