Teacher Aide jobs in Hawaii

Alphabetland Preschool LLC is a locally owned business with locations in Waipahu, Pearl City, and Aiea Hawaii. We are currently hiring preschool teacher's aides for Full Time openings at our Waipahu and New Town locations. Education and experience is a plus but we do offer training for the right candidate who meets at least the minimum requirement of a high school diploma. Our preschools are open year round Monday through Friday 6am-5:30pm. Teachers and aides are assigned full time hours within those times. Applicants must be honest, dependable, able to communicate in English verbally and in writing, and love working with young children. Ages 2-5.

The following description of duties will include but are not limited to...

Objectives of this role:

Teacher's aides: Assist teachers with the above duties as directed. Help with bathroom breaks and changes as needed.

• Promote a positive, fun, and inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of children
• Prepare children ages 3–5 for the next stage of their education

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher to instill order in the classroom
• Monitor free-time activities
• Encourage children to interact with one another
• Assist with nap and snack time

Skills and qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate with young children
• Passion for shaping and inspiring young learners
• Patient, compassionate, and energetic nature
• Certification in child CPR-(Will need to be certified if you aren't already)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
