Tax Accountant jobs in South Dakota

We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting team in Rapid City, SD. You will play a key role in our client’s success by providing timely, current financial information to enable them to make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general bookkeeping duties, including recording transactions and regularly reconciling accounts,
• Prepare client financial statements.
• Collaborate and communicate with the client to ensure accuracy and completion of tasks in a timely manner
• Prepare sales/excise tax returns
• Calculate and process payroll
• Submit payroll tax deposits and prepare quarterly and year end payroll tax reports
• Provide QuickBooks assistance to clients

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum two years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines as required
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and organizational skills
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel and Word
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
