Tax Accountant jobs in Minnesota

Dvorak Accounting & Tax, LLC, is looking to expand its team. The right candidate must possess excellent communication skills, electronically, in-person and telephonically; the ability to multi-task; to be able to handle clients in an objective manner and with respect; and to uphold all dealings within the office with the utmost confidentiality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Payroll Processing
• Paycheck creation
• Payment of tax liabilities and an understanding of the requirements therewith
• Filing quarterly and annual payroll reports for a variety of business types
• An understanding of the various deadlines and requirements
• General Accounting
• Monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit cards
• Establish and maintain client charts of accounts to facilitate accurate financials
• Make necessary month-end closing entries
• Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements to clients
• Income Tax Preparation
• Meet with clients and prepare returns based on their information, both personal and business returns
• Prepare returns from information that is dropped off, mailed in, or sent electronically
• Communicate with clients about details, missing information, and results
• Checking data entry for returns
• General Office Duties

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Understanding of General Accounting Principals and Procedures
• Familiarity with Income Taxes, federal and state
• Knowledge of programs within Microsoft Office
• Ability to self-manage

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of Intuit products, including ProSeries and Intuit Payroll Online
• Understanding of Sales Tax calculation and filings
• Research abilities
