The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for providing talent and acquisition support to our US division and assist in Canadian recruitment as needed. You will pay a critical role in identifying, attracting and acquiring qualified talent for both current open positions, as well as to add to our talent pipeline for future roles.
The role will assist in developing and will execute our talent sourcing strategies, source qualified talent, conduct interviews and manage the candidate recruitment experience.
This full-time employee position is located in the US and has the ability to work in a hybrid environment or be fully remote, depending on the ideal candidate’s location. Salary, benefits and paid time off are one of the many benefits on offer.
Key Accountabilities:
- Talent Sourcing: Work with hiring managers to identify and attract qualified candidates to create future dynamic talent pipelines that aligns with the organization’s goals and growth. Utilize current data driven insights and provide recommendations for innovative new talent sourcing solutions and methods.
- Screening: Conduct initial and arrange secondary interviews ensuring alignment with skills, qualifications, experience and cultural fit and ensure timely feedback provided to hiring managers and candidates. Conduct references, backgrounds checks and behavioral assessments as required.
- Onboarding: Provide a positive onboarding experience for new hire, ensuring all required documentation, policies and onboarding training is completed while ensuring that all regulations and labor laws are adhered to.
- Landowner Relations: Maintain positive relationships with surface landowners and address inquiries, concerns, and issues related to land agreements and leases.
- Data and Reporting: Maintain HRIS information, ATS tracking and relevant data, metrics and reporting to ensure efficiencies and tracking of talent acquisition metrics.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders, summarizing the status of land agreements, lease expirations, and compliance issues. You will prepare regular reports summarizing key information, potential risks, and recommended actions. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders will be crucial for transparent and successful land analysis
Requirements:
Post Secondary education in human resources or recruitment an asset
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition is required, preferably within the energy or infrastructure industries
- Prior experience using ATS, HRIS, and PEO systems with a preference for ADP Totalsource and UKG/Ultipro
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Knowledge of US labor laws an asset
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other talent acquisition software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
