SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator drives recruitment efforts, coordinates and manages beginning-to-end hiring processes, and provides a positive candidate experience; oversees hiring platforms, conducts training, and ensures compliance with employment laws; optimizes recruitment efficiency, contributes to strategic initiatives, supports employees, supervisors, managers, and collaborates with departments and across Human Resources functions.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serves students. Conducts and oversees the end-to-end hiring process ensuring equal opportunity, including but not limited to screening applications, candidate communication, screening committee guidance, interview scheduling, conducting interviews, preparing offer letters, and collaborating seamlessly with the associated hiring department and the Human Resources team for payroll, benefits, and onboarding. Serves as a point of contact for candidates, providing a positive and informative experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
Recruits and advertises new and vacant positions by utilizing diverse channels and platforms such as job fairs, social media, the Internet, career fairs, networking events, active and passive sourcing to attract a broad pool of qualified candidates. Crafts compelling job advertisements and marketing materials to highlight the college's unique opportunities, employee and student-focused culture. Continuously explores innovative ways to enhance recruitment strategies and maintain a talent pipeline for future talent needs and/or succession planning.
Manages and maintains various platforms associated with hiring, including the applicant tracking system (ATS), recruiting accounts, social media, and the college website. Ensures platforms are regularly updated, user-friendly, and aligned with current technological trends in recruitment and aligned with the College’s mission, vision, values, and brand.
Conducts comprehensive training sessions related to the hiring process and effective use of the ATS and Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Provides specialized training for screening committee members, interviewers, hiring managers, and authorities to ensure a standardized and fair evaluation process.
Stays informed about current, and changes to, laws, industry standards and trends, and compliance requirements related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Department of Labor (DOL), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Human Resources department guidelines, and College policies and procedures. Implements and reinforces practices to ensure compliance, diversity, and fairness in all aspects of recruitment and hiring.
Develops and implements key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction of recruitment and hiring practices. Regularly assesses and analyzes data to identify areas for improvement, implementing strategic enhancements to optimize the overall recruitment process.
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
