SURVEILLANCE SUPERVISOR implements policies and procedures for the surveillance department. Ensures compliance with gaming requirements set by state gaming authority and local law enforcement. Being a SURVEILLANCE SUPERVISOR supervises and evaluates surveillance employees. Safeguards the assets of the organization. Additionally, SURVEILLANCE SUPERVISOR reports improper activity or disturbances to security team for further investigation. May require an associate degree or its equivalent. Work is performed in an office environment and throughout the property in all locations. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment typically allows smoking.
Constant contact with executives, department management, applicants, Team Members and guests is necessary. Requires prolonged sitting or standing and mobility. Requires bending and reaching. Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires eye/hand coordination. Requires use of standard office equipment and specialized surveillance equipment. Requires basic math. Ability to push and/or pull file cabinet drawers weighing up to 5 lbs. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Ability to and comply with policies and procedures, job description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
Experience Requirements
Knowledge of and experience with closed circuit television equipment required. Minimum of two years in casino surveillance supervision or related area preferred. Excellent knowledge of all table games required and training experience preferred. Must possess excellent observational and communication skills. Must be able to detect and teach schemes, cheating activity and advantage play. Full knowledge of E-Connect, Itrak and Microsoft Office
Role: The Surveillance Shift Supervisor will oversee and assist in overseeing the Guest and Team Member experience at the Westgate Resort and Casino.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related area from a four-year college or university preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
