Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.   • Uses video systems and associated software to continuously observe all gaming and gaming-related areas for any deviations, abnormality or unusual activity as defined by law, regulation and in-house policies and procedures. Familiar with Gaming Standards and Regulation, Knowledge of all Tables Games and Casino Procedures, possess the ability to lead and protect the assets of San Manuel Nevada GHA and ensures Gaming compliance. Train Team Members in Policy and Procedures also Table Games rules and Regulations. Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Surveillance department. Ensure surveillance of all operations is being adequately handled in and around the property. Primary Job Responsibilities – Includes, but is not limited to: • Works effectively with all departments assuring efficient Surveillance support service is provided when needed. • Directs the overall management of the monitor room. • Supports Director in changes for the department, including hiring, promotion, demotion and termination of personnel. • Assists in Scheduling Team Member work hours. Assists and maintains a progressive and empowered work force. Trains, counsels, and coaches assigned personnel in the performance of their duties. • Checks and reviews I-Trak reports (Security and Surveillance), interacts with Security, Surveillance and Risk Management on reports that require follow-up. This includes but is not limited to the accuracy of the report times and the video retention needed for each report. • Sends critical Surveillance reports (Security, Risk Management, Compliance, Casino Operations) at least twice weekly to Executive Management and other designated Management. • Communicates with, in person and email, all three Surveillance shifts on a weekly basis. • Oversees and Directs the Fraud department. • Ensures proper workplace ethics and promotes a positive work environment. • Works closely with Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies while conducting investigations. • Works closely and all departments, delegates workload for the shift • Any and all duties as directed by the Director Surveillance or equivalent. Responsible for continually monitoring the hotel and casino operations to ensure adherence to the state gaming regulations, in-house internal controls and company policies and procedures. • Checks all Surveillance equipment at the start of the shift to ensure these are in good working condition, preforms daily Pre-Shift, keeps track of Vacation requests (PTO). • Views the casino areas for identification of cheating activities, undesirables, pilferage and embezzlement. • Maintains the daily logs, checks for content accuracy and grammar in Incident files. • Assists Security in protecting the welfare of the employees and guests of the casino and hotel. • Coordinates with local, state and federal law enforcement in the investigation of criminal activity which occurred on company property. Qualifications: Required: 21 years of age. Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States. High school diploma and or equivalent experience. Five (5) years of casino experience in the video surveillance of table games, slots, hard and soft count rooms, cashiers and related areas. Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. Ability to Train, counsels and coaches assigned personnel in the performance of their duties. Preferred: 8 years in a Surveillance Department and knowledge of all table games in a luxury resort is preferred. Associates Degree (AS) or equivalent experience Knowledge of gaming regulations such as Title 31. Knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Casino Standards, local jurisdictional gaming laws, and Nevada Revised Statutes. Should be proficient in detection of Advantage Players, (card counters, top card, and hole card). Ability to make decisions based on existing evidence and protects the assets of San Manuel Nevada GHA. Proven relationship with law enforcement, gaming control authorities and agencies affecting casino industry. A good understanding of all computer-based programs used by Surveillance, iTrak, BJ Survey, AS/400, Table View, or equivalent surveillance systems experience. High level of understanding and ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word.
