Supply Chain Analyst jobs in Kansas
Supply Chain Analyst monitors and expedites the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Coordinates with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Being a Supply Chain Analyst identifies bottlenecks or problem areas and escalates or proposes solutions. Works with suppliers to resolve issues. Additionally, Supply Chain Analyst may assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Supply Chain Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Position Summary / Career Interest
This position is responsible for providing analytical support to strategic chain initiatives. Will work under the direction of the Supply Chain Analytics Manager and will fill a cross functional role providing analytics and data analysis to all areas of the health system supply chain. This role will also assist with various system process improvement initiatives and ad hoc analytic projects as assigned. This role drives success within the health system by providing an essential analytic foundation.
Responsibilities- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
- Support initiatives through data analysis and the development of data visualizations
- Assists in the planning and design of data analytic projects
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects by developing tools and standard templates
- Assists with defining data standards and definitions
- Leads discussions with cross functional teams on the results of projects and data analysis
- Produce financial analysis for cost savings initiatives
- Gather data and produce accurate and timely analytics for department leaders
- Serve as a subject matter expert on supply chain analytics tools and methodologies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field
- Experience with a variety of data sets to access, extract, transform and manipulate data
- Experience in data analysis and reporting in a healthcare environment
- Demonstrated superior communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently with varying deadlines and levels of importance
- Strong knowledge using the Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel
- Strong mathematical or data science skills
- Experience analyzing and visualizing data
- Experience using SSMS, SSRS, Tableau, Power BI or similar tools
- Experience with databases and SQL or similar query languages
- Experience with Vizient products
- Experience with GPOs, tier structures and contract compliance
