Special Events Manager - Casino jobs in Pennsylvania

Special Events Manager - Casino plans, coordinates, and improves special events designed for a casino in order to bring back guests. Negotiates contracts and obtains competitive bids from vendors to ensure the lowest bid with the highest quality of service and products. Being a Special Events Manager - Casino supervises and evaluates special events staff. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Additionally, Special Events Manager - Casino typically reports to a director. The Special Events Manager - Casino supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Special Events Manager - Casino typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     WE LOVE OUR WORK.

    • Responsible for cleaning of beverage areas in assigned special events area.
    • Provides and replenishes beverage stock and supplies.
    • Removes empty bottles and trash.
    • Prepares necessary fruit for use as garnishes.
    • Responsible for receiving, issuing and keeping necessary records of liquor supplies.
    • Serves as backup for bartender when necessary.
    • Promotes outstanding guest service on a continual basis.
    • Responsible for maintaining a regular and consistent attendance record.
    • Participates as a team member with all servers, venue hosts, supervisors, and kitchen staff in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation.
    • Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather

    • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as operating and maintenance instructions.
    • Must have the ability to perform basic math skills.       
    • Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions (i.e., written, oral, etc.).
    • Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

    • Walking 40% of the time.
    • Standing 15 % of the time.
    • Bending and lifting 45% of the time.
    • Lifting/moving maximum of 70 lbs.     

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  This is a smoking environment in guest areas and a non-smoking, with the exception of designated areas, employee environment. 

    • Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
