Social Media Analyst collects and analyzes data related to social media marketing campaigns. Analyzes social media data to identify patterns and trends. Being a Social Media Analyst monitors social media platforms to determine how a new update or feature impacts audience behavior or content performance. Identifies opportunities for campaign optimization and provides recommendations to improve targeting and messaging. Additionally, Social Media Analyst creates and maintains comprehensive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to monitor marketing performance and communicate insights to stakeholders. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Social Media Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. This is a part-time, remote-based, 40-hours-per-month (about 10 hours per week) position, which allows for flexible hours, but some of the work will occur during business hours, generally in the form of meetings and communications with the social media team for any updates and direct communications.
Responsibilities- Assist with creating easy to follow calendar with ideas for posts, events
- Conduct or coordinate the activities from the above calendar
- Coordinate 1-2 large media events annually
- Create, facilitate, and coordinate company media content or compile such content
- Maintain company/CEO's social media postings
- Strong written communication skills including excellent grammar, flexible and broad vocabulary, and correct spelling
- Social media experience with applications such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter/X
- Experience using generative AI like ChatGPT and/or Claude
- Interest or experience in branding and digital marketing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Word
- Organization skills to enable work planning and meeting of deadlines
- Must have access to internet and a computer with Microsoft Office
