Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) External Engagement and Communications group is seeking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Small Business Advocate.
Our team works a hybrid 9x80 schedule that allows remote work with every other Friday off!
You will report to the Small Business Program Manager.
Responsibilities Include
Assist Small Business Program Manager with the implementation of small business requirements based on the Federal Acquisition Regulations, DEAR 970, I54 Clause, the INL Small Business Subcontracting Plan. Assist acquisition and program staff in understanding small business subcontracting goals and the execution on an extensive outreach and in-reach program.- Officially represent the INL at various local, regional and national meetings and forums.
- You will participate in the execution of an extensive outreach and in-reach program to meet BEA's prime contract requirements for small business usage following the INL Small Business Subcontracting Plan.
- Cultivate and attend procurement related conferences, trade fairs, and other tasks to locate new qualified small business sources.
- Cultivate and attend internal meetings and forums to motivate Procurement staff and the technical programs in the use of small business and communicate policy, regulations, and best business practice to them.
- Provide interface for small businesses and their representatives looking for subcontracting opportunities with the INL.
- Describe BEA's small business program and policies to potential suppliers and guide them to appropriate program, personnel following the product, material, or service offered.
- You will be an integral part in the review of procurement solicitation lists, facilitate identification of small business set-aside opportunities.
- Develop and conduct training, workshops, seminars, and forums on an ongoing basis to both internal company and external suppliers and community representatives.
- Review and approve the small business subcontracting plans and subsequent reports of large business lower-tier subcontractors.
- Ensure contractual flow-down clauses are incorporated. Initiate action to resolve discrepancies, conduct negotiations, and make recommendations.
PR02/PR03: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field and 2 or more years of experience OR Master's degree and 1 or more years of experience
Excellent public speaking skills.
