Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Ensure food is handled and stored safely according to food safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their orders and answering any questions they may have
- Use time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient operation of the deli
- Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Perform basic math calculations to calculate prices, discounts, and change for customers
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food handling or food service is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with operating a cash register or point-of-sale system
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with coworkers to ensure smooth operation of the deli
