Service Station Attendant services automobiles with gasoline, oil, and water. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Service Station Attendant is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. · Greet customers with smile, provide exceptional customer service, answer any questions related to merchandise
· Must be able to operate point of sale system, gas console and dispensers, do basic math operations such as addition, subtraction and multiplication
· Must be able to perform physical activities like standing, bending, lifting and others throughout the shift
· Must be able to lift, carry and stock items weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Able to work on weekends and holidays
· Must ask and verify ids for sale of tobacco and alcohol products and must never sale anyone below 21 years of age.
· Must work safely with equipment and adhere to all applicable city, state and federal laws
· Must be able to complete training required for sale of tobacco and alcohol products
· Must be able to receive deliveries, report any discrepancies to manager.
· Keep walk in coolers and inside store stocked, clean and organized.
· Keep soda station, coffee bar clean and stocked
· Change trash liners inside store and at fuel island as necessary
· Keep all countertops, equipment and shelves clean and organized
· Check products for expiration dates particularly for perishable products
· Additional responsibilities as assigned
· Background check required
