Security Guard - Armed jobs in Pennsylvania
Security Guard - Armed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Armed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Armed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically requires Firearms Certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Armed works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred (not required)
Must have an Act 235 certification
Must be 21 years old or older
Must be in good physical condition with no medical restrictions
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must have reliable means of transportation
Must be able to pass FBI Clearance
Must obtain a PA State Criminal Clearance
Must have Security Guard experience
Ability to comprehend and utilize the English language, written and verbal
Must have an active email address with basic computer skills
Must have an active smart cell phone
Must be able to interact with the public on a professional level
No visible tattoos on your hands, neck or face
DUTIES:
- Conduct required patrols of the assigned site on foot or in vehicle
- Monitors and conducts surveillance of an assigned site
- Contact, coordinate and cooperate with law enforcement agencies when an incident occurs
- Prepare any required incident documentation needed at a site
- Utilize appropriate force to preserve order when needed
- Ensure at all times the safety and security of the client, the site and all personnel are protected
