Ensures network (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice) security access and protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. Being a Security Administrator requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Security Administrator works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Job Summary
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the MCCCD is looking for a PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Security Administrator.
Primary responsibilities include security administration of PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) instance.
Additionally, this position will provide backup security administration for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) and Human Capital Management (HCM) instances.
This role is part of a team of application administrators who supports diverse ERP applications and assists with administration of these systems.

Essential Functions
25% Identifies and maintains security module and application access needs; designs roles and permissions to ensure secure and authorized system access across all PeopleSoft environments (production and development) and assigned ERP applications;
provides excellent user support and customer service; provides backup support to senior administrators
20% Analyzes, coordinates and implements provided requirement documents and preparation of technical specifications / documentation for upgrades, conversions and / or transition projects and activities for PeopleSoft Security and assigned ERP applications
20% Provides functional and technical support and participates in development of security strategy, architecture and policies;
makes independent decisions and exercises judgment related to PeopleSoft Security and assigned ERP applications using established guidelines and procedures
provides first tier consultation and technical assistance; researches, implements, maintains and administers new ERP applications
10% Researches and provides recommendations on complex and escalated issues, problems and abnormalities; applies applicable policies, regulations and industry standards, best practices and emerging technologies for issue resolution;
makes recommendations for implementation related to PeopleSoft Security and assigned ERP applications
5% Creates and maintains system documentation for security design, development, security and maintenance; educates and trains staff and users on PeopleSoft Security and assigned ERP applications
5% Participates in centralized ERP application governance and support modules and core governance committees; performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or directly related field and two (2) years of technical experience in the support of information security.
Associate’s Degree in information technology or directly related field and four (4) years of technical experience in the support of information security.
High School Diploma / GED and six (6) years of technical experience in the support of information security.
