    Location: Must reside in the Western Region

    Purpose

    We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to oversee the weekly ad process for our assigned retailers. This role involves close collaboration with Sales and Promotion Managers, Senior Manager of Consumer Marketing, Director of Consumer Marketing, VP of Marketing, and Merchandising Departments to achieve our sales goals. You will focus on developing locally relevant promotional efforts to drive retail sales, spending significant time interacting with retail partners. Additionally, you will coordinate with vendors and Category Management to develop a weekly promotion plan and manage area sales meetings with assigned retail groups. This position also involves overseeing cost of goods, gross profit, and allowance parameters within the weekly ad program for all departments. Effective communication skills are crucial, as there will be daily interactions with category management and Marketing staff. Furthermore, you will be responsible for training and developing Sales team support staff.

    Job Responsibilities

    Coordinate region-led promotional activities for assigned retailers or Corporate Retail.

    Lead the merchandising team in creating all advertising and extra effort pieces.

    Drive sales growth for assigned retailers by creating impactful weekly ads and extra effort programs.

    Collaborate with Consumer Marketing counterparts to coordinate promotional activities.

    Work with Advertising Coordinators on ad layouts and item placement.

    Ensure accuracy of promotional activities for ads and communication across all categories through proofing.

    Conduct post-promotional reviews and analyses to assess performance and guide merchandisers on corrective actions.

    Hold pre-planning meetings with Vendors and Senior Category Merchandisers to develop the Trimester Planning Calendar with inserts and overlays.

    Plan and pre-book National Expo with assigned Retail groups.

    Coordinate Trimester area meetings to gather retailer feedback and promote sales-driving programs.

    Gather market intelligence in assigned areas and gain insights on locally relevant items and promotions.

    Research market conditions to provide competitive merchandising solutions for retail formats.

    Manage vendor relationships related to ad/extra effort programming.

    Help achieve P&L commitment for the Consumer Marketing Department budget.

    Resolve internal and external customer merchandising requests and concerns professionally.

    Assist in retailer/vendor planning sessions and participate in monthly conference calls and meetings.

    Educate account managers on sales programs and assist in selling to assigned retailers.

    Develop and maintain strong working relationships with assigned retailers.

    Support and implement regional initiatives and private brand initiatives.

    Supervise, train, and develop assigned support staff.

    Job Requirements

    Perform other relevant job duties as required.

    Education/Certifications

    Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Experience

    Minimum of 3 years industry experience preferred, including retail.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    Proven negotiation skills.

    Strong oral and written communication skills.

    Aptitude for and interest in financial reporting.

    Ability to lead without direct reporting authority.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SV systems at an advanced level.

    Strong understanding of ABS, landed cost, and gross profit.

    Demonstrated success in a results-driven environment.

    Physical Environment/Demands

    Some travel may be required.

    Ability to sit for long periods at a desk or computer terminal.

    Regular use of hands for typing, handling, and reaching.

    Frequent communication through talking and hearing.

    Use of calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment.

    Occasional stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be necessary.
