Safety Representative outlines and implements training programs to educate and inform workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention regulations and procedures. Develops and distributes educational materials including videos, guides, and posters. Being a Safety Representative tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. Additionally, Safety Representative has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Safety Representative works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Utility Channel customers are defined as, but not limited to gas and electric utilities (investor owned, co-ops and municipal), telecom and renewable energy, power generation and the specialty contractors that support this sector.
Job Description:
The Utility Sales Representative is responsible for serving and growing business and relationships with established customers. Also, you will be responsible for growing your channel within your region in new accounts, sales, services and profit. The Utility Sales Representative will report to the Regional Sales Manager for Utilities.
A minimum of 50% of time will be spent engaging with customers in person, over the phone or on virtual meets. This sales professional will make regular product presentations in front of customers. Meetings range from 1-1, small groups and participation in larger customer forums.
An evergreen desire to learn new products and be able to deploy their value proposition is an essential part of this role. Our customers look to us to have a deep understanding of their world and how we can support their operations. These skills can be learned, and you will have support behind you in the form of product specialists, marketing and manufacturers reps that are subject matter experts.
