Overview:
Our award-winning Quechee General Store is seeking 1 - 2 motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associates to join the team at our popular Quechee Gorge Village location. As a member of our Retail Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. We are open daily from 10am - 5pm. Normal part time shifts are 9:45am - 1:45pm, 1pm - 5pm or 9:45am - 5:15pm. No evenings. Ability to work partial shift most weekends (every or rotating days) is preferred. Sunday afternoons especially good.
Duties:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers
- Process sales transactions accurately using the Square point-of-sale (POS) system
- Help maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking merchandise
- Engage with customers to build relationships and promote customer loyalty
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store objectives and be a team player
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to listen to customers' needs
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell and cross-sell products
- Knowledge of food and beverages sales or experience in selling quality products is a plus
- Proficient in operating Square POS systems is a plus, but easy to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to stand during work shift and be able to help with product stocking is a must
- Positive attitude
- Strong phone etiquette for assisting customers over the phone
