In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our reservoir engineers by providing technical support, data analysis, and contributing to efficient reservoir management.
What You Will Be Doing:- Assist reservoir engineers in data gathering, analysis, and interpretation from various sources (public data, internal production data)
- Prepare and maintain reservoir databases and models using industry-standard software (e.g., ComboCurve, ARIES, Access, SQL)
- Generate reports and presentations to communicate technical findings to engineers and management
- Troubleshoot data integrity within reservoir models, help organize and maintain various typecurves, and reserves estimates
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all technical work
- Stay up to date on the latest reservoir engineering technologies and best practices
- Associate's degree in Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a technical role within the oil and gas industry preferred.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of reservoir engineering principles (permeability, porosity, saturation)
- Ability to meet specific deadlines based on department needs and work with minimal supervision
- Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and communication skills and have the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Extremely team-oriented with strong oral and written skills to convey information clearly and persuasively
- Results-oriented with a sense of urgency
- Must be able to perform light work – exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
- Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
