    • Oversee the parish religious education program
    • Oversee Sacrament preparation
    • Recruitment, training and retention of parish volunteers as teachers for religious education programs
    • Support, inform and guide all parish catechists in the area of catechesis, doctrine, and liturgy
    • Oversee and direct Safe Environment
    • Plan social and service opportunities for children
    • Prepare and manage departmental budget
    • Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc. as assigned.

    Education And Experience Preferred

    Required high school diploma

    Preferred (Bachelor’s Degree in Sacred Theology or Catechetics) with 1-3 years experience

    Knowledge And Skills Preferred

    Knowledge of the Catholic Church, the celebration of the Sacraments, moral life of the Church, devotionals, etc.

    Basic fluency in MS Word, writing and editing various documents

    Skill in public speaking

    Skill in strategic planning

    Working Conditions And/or Physical Requirements

    This position works in a typical office environment, but is subject to stress due to evolving and quickly expanding business needs, tight deadlines and heavy workloads.
