Regulatory Affairs Specialist supports the oversight of regulatory matters and strategy implementation to ensure the organization complies with applicable regulations. Prepares filings and tracks applications for licensing, certification, and permits and interacts with governmental officials during the regulation and certification process. Being a Regulatory Affairs Specialist monitors compliance with existing regulations and upcoming or changing regulations. Performs impact analysis of regulatory changes and produces status reports. Additionally, Regulatory Affairs Specialist participates in processes to report, investigate, and addresses any issues of non-compliance. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Regulatory Affairs Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Job Summary

    A Regulatory Affairs Documentation Specialist utilizes strong written communication skills to enhance the level of documentation maintained within the Department. The Documentation Specialist is primarily responsible for attending all regulatory meetings for the purpose of taking, organizing, and analyzing meeting minutes. This role is crucial to the organization successfully achieving its strategic goal of maintaining the highest level of regulatory compliance.

    Pay Range - 23.73 - 30.26 - 36.78

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Attend all relevant regulatory meetings and take detailed minutes. Prepare comprehensive meeting documentation to accurately reflect key issues discussed and resulting action items. Resolve problems pertaining to documentation quality and standards.
    • Review meeting minutes and determine distribution to necessary individuals within the Department. Contact key stakeholders as necessary to support completion of minutes.
    • Coordinate with Department leaders to determine if escalation of meeting minutes, as applicable.
    • Facilitate meeting minutes escalation and maintain relevant tracking documentation. Assist with meeting agenda preparation and scheduling as needed.

    Additional Accountabilities

    • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
    • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

    Job Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    • Education level: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent
    • Minimum experience required: 3 Years of relevant experience in a financial services company and/or in a bank regulatory or legal related support role.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Education level: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) preferred in Finance, Business, Legal, or related
    • Paralegal experience strongly preferred

    Job Competencies:

    • Basic knowledge of banking regulatory environment.
    • Excellent written communication and minute-taking skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Basic ability to identify, anticipate, define and escalate issues in a timely manner.
    • Physical demands (ADA): No unusual physical exertion is involved.
