Manages budgets and ensures long-term availability of raw goods for production needs. Additionally, Quarry Superintendent may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Quarry Superintendent typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Job Summary
Headwaters Construction Company is seeking a Construction Superintendent. In general, the Construction Superintendent is to coordinate operations and oversee workers/laborers at a construction site, and is ultimately responsible for the supervision of the actual physical construction of the project in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. The superintendent directs the day to day work activities at the job site with the goal to have the subcontractors turn out quality work for the lowest possible cost in the shortest possible time in the safest possible manner. It is the superintendent’s duty to ensure the constant flow of personnel and materials, to plan the work far enough in advance so that the proper craftsmen will be where they are required, and to ensure that the specified materials will be available for them.
