Quality Assurance Billing Specialist

Summary/Objective
Responsible for the oversight of billing requirements to ensure billing accuracy. Candidate performs quality checks of valid treatment plans, ABN forms, correct credentialing matched with client payer, pre-billing audits, completeness review corrections, as well as answering phones, and assisting internal and external customers. Applicant must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Essential Functions- Complete and manage pre-billing audits and ensure corrections are complete within 48 hours of request and follow-up as needed.
- Ensure completeness review corrections are made within 48 hours of request and follow-up as needed.
- Ensure valid treatment plans are in place for billing to include service provided, frequency and signature before services are provided.
- Ensure valid ABNs are on file before services are provided.
- Ensure credentialing matches client payer at intake and case assignment.
- Work with Senior Director of Medical Billing and Senior Director of Support Staff Services to accomplish clean billing and capture all revenue.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers, and smartphones .

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Little travel is required for this position.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, or Eligibility Qualifications- Associate degree plus two years of accounting or related field
- High School Diploma with four years of accounting or related field
- Highly proficient with the use of Microsoft Suite applications and database softwar e
- Bachelor's Degree plus two years of accounting or related field
