Proof Operator performs a variety of clerical functions relating to check processing, deposits, withdrawals, and payments. Operates a proof machine which encodes and endorses checks and deposits. Being a Proof Operator finds errors and makes appropriate reconciliations, adjustments, and corrections. May be responsible for batching and distribution. Additionally, Proof Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Proof Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
