Project Engineer - Construction

To support our ongoing growth and success, Sordoni Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a Project Engineer. This position is responsible for supporting project management, field operations, and estimating departments by assisting with project schedules, submittals, requests for information, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Project Engineer, you will have a unique opportunity to make a significant and meaningful contribution to the success of Sordoni Construction through the following core job responsibilities:

• Prepare prime and subcontract change orders utilizing project management software
• Prepare project reports, including submittal logs, RFI logs, change request/change order logs, closeout reports, punch lists, post mortems, and other periodic reports
• Work with and provide support to the Project Manager in the total construction effort to ensure project is completed in accordance with project design, budget, and schedule
• Work with Estimators in bid solicitations and subsequent follow-up with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adequate scope coverage, including review of project constructability issues
• Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, coordinating various phases of construction prevent delays, and estimating
• Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules
• Promote and ensure compliance with established policies, rules and procedures and safety regulations
• Review and field-verify shop drawings and product data
