Job Summary:

Selkirk Sport LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager of Manufacturing and Production to support our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in the manufacturing of our products. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily production activities to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Supervise and support production staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, quality metrics, and downtime.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Control, Supply Chain, and R&D, to ensure seamless operations.
• Assist in managing inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Train and develop production staff to improve performance and build a strong team.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Significant experience in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team.
• Proficient in using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if necessary.
  
  

Schedule depending on business needs:

either 6:30am to 5:00pm Monday thru Thursday, 3 day weekend

or 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday thru Thursday, with 8:00am to 12:00pm Fridays.
