Role Description

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of our Aluminum Long Products. This includes market analysis, product & pricing strategy, inventory management, and procurement strategy. You will play a key role in driving growth and profitability within the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

• Solicit quotes & negotiate pricing from approved suppliers for a variety of metal products.
• Create accurate purchase orders in the company ERP system.
• Manage inventory levels across the product line.
• Staying current on product knowledge, material specifications, industry trends, and end-use market trends.
• Communicate pricing and product strategy internally.
• Identify and negotiate cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain.
• Evaluate and recommend potential new suppliers based on Production Metals’ requirements.
• This position requires travel both to suppliers as well as with the Production Metals' sales team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Ability to exercise independent judgement & critical thinking.
• Experience within the metals service center industry / aluminum long products.
• Experience with pricing strategy & inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships quickly.
