Job Overview:
The Executive Director must be a mature, emotionally stable person able to relate to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and to the goals of this organization. Among the many necessary attributes is the ability to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to our organization while ensuring the highest quality of care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. To complement this effort, they should provide guidance, leadership, and opportunities for professional development for staff members to enhance their skills and capabilities. They should stay informed about best practices, trends, and developments that directly affect developmental disabilities services. He or she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, fundraising, program development, and community outreach. In addition, the Executive Director is responsible to the Executive Board of Directors for the overall planning, programming, and directing of the Oklahoma Production Center. He or she works with the Board to create and implement organizational and operational strategies. As a part of community engagement, they should build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, advocacy organizations, and community leaders to promote awareness and support for our mission.
