Product Development Director plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Product Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Product Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. We are seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to become an integral part of our team! You will work for our Novotics and SICO Systems Control divisions of Daburn. Novotics and SICO provide control and automation solutions for various equipment and plant processes.
We are looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer with practical experience in the industrial controls field and experience in PLC and HMI programming.
Requirements/Experience:
Minimum 2 Years Experience In Industrial Controls And Automation
Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC and HMI programming
Analog controls and PID Loops (instrumentation)
Motor controls (motor starters and VFDs)
Able to work independently or as a team member
Primary Responsibilities:
Design control systems per customer specifications
PLC and HMI programming
Test & troubleshoot control systems
Write functional specifications and user manuals
Prepare purchase orders for project-related parts and equipment
Assist sales in technical issues and quotations
Field start-up and customer assistance
Able to travel (less than 10% per year)
Desirable experience:
AutoCAD
National Electric Code (NEC)
UL508A/CSA standards
Knowledge of Ethernet networks
