Wabash Valley (Dubois, IN) has an immediate need to hire a Food Safety Manager in the newly constructed Foods Facility. Wabash Valley specializes in the production and processing of eggs as well as value-added products. The Foods Facility will focus on the production of egg patties and scrambled eggs for breakfast products. While this Food Safety Manager position is newly created, our Food Safety Program is well established and structured throughout our organization in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Actively Manage Quality Assurance / Laboratory / Sanitation Teams
• Oversee FSQA Programming
• Professional Interaction with USDA / FDA / Customers
• Provide Training / Instruction to Associates
• Lead Audits Within Program / Facility
• Develop Food Quality / Safety Programming for Foods Facility
• Operate Research & Development Kitchen

Skills / Experience / Certificates

• Preferred Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Micro-Biology, or Food Science
• Work Experience in Food Industry (preferably with egg/dairy)
• Preferred Experience in Research & Development as well as Formulation
• HACCP / PCQI / GFSI Certified
• Critical Thinker / Good Communicator / Proven Decision Maker / Motivated Leader
