The Workshop and Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the workshop and warehouse operations. This includes managing staff, maintaining inventory levels, ensuring quality control, and optimizing processes for efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a background in workshop and warehouse management.

Responsibilities / TasksOversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling, workflow management, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.

Manage workshop and warehouse staff, including mechanics and support staff. This includes hiring, training, and performance management.

Ensure that staff are properly trained in warehouse operations and safety procedures.Ensure that all work meets quality standards and customer expectations.

Implement quality control processes as needed.Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies. This includes ordering, stocking, and maintaining appropriate levels of inventory.

Interact with customers to understand their needs, provide updates on work progress, and address any concerns or issues.Create and management quotations for services to be rendered by the workshop.

Develop and manage the workshop budget, including tracking expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring profitability.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop and warehouse. This includes providing a safe working environment and enforcing safety protocols.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as OSHA and ISO. This includes staying up-to-date with changes in regulations and implementing necessary changes in warehouse operations.

Oversee the maintenance and repair of workshop and warehouse equipment, ensuring that it is in good working condition.Provide training and development opportunities for workshop and warehouse staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Manage warehouse inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods. This includes maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular audits.

Optimize warehouse space for efficient storage and retrieval of goods. This may involve reorganizing layout, shelving, or storage systems.

Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to meet customer requirements.

Maintain a safe and secure warehouse environment. This includes implementing safety protocols, such as proper handling of hazardous materials, and ensuring that security measures are in place to prevent theft or damage.

Ensure that all goods meet quality standards before being dispatched from the warehouse. This may involve inspecting incoming shipments and conducting quality checks on outgoing orders.

Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and shipments. This includes keeping track of inventory levels, order status, and shipping documents.

Performs other duties as assigned. Your Profile / QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in business or another related field. At least five years of industrial refrigeration, or another manufacturing business.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Well-developed interpersonal skills.Detail orientated.Good managerial and supervisory abilities.
