Power Systems Rental Sales Engineer train EPS Rental Technicians and Sales on EPG layout/design, electrical distribution & HVAC systems. Perform Quality Control of all EPS Rental equipment prior to delivery or rental. Being a Power Systems Rental Sales Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Power Systems Rental Sales Engineer typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Position Overview
The Electrical Field Engineer will work with the construction team out on project sites. This individual will be responsible for engaging in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity while applying standard engineering techniques & procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide support with creation of layouts or plans based on approved schematics or drawings.
- Evaluate base designs and specifications to Persupport engineering inquiries through all phases of process improvement.
- Order material and maintain relationship with suppliers and vendors as needed.
- Create daily report to outline project progress.
- Understand the Quantity Progress Report (QPR) as it relates to electrical installation tracking.
- Complete Time Allocation Tool (TAT) to match QPR.
- Complete turnover packages.
- Track cablematics and update cable schedule.
- Complete electrical termination packages.
- Maintain radio communication at-site.
- Upload and print electrical drawings for field supervisors.
- Spot check field quantities and job progress.
- Communicate with Engineering and Document Control to maintain current drawings.
- Understand and track Scope of Work.
- Perform quantity tracking and report to PMO.
- Support Superintendents with schedule reviews.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years field experience in Solar work preferred.
- Engineering degree a plus.
- Possess strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines.
- Be able to work with a team as well as independently.
- Familiarity with basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Teams, Outlook) is desired.
