Plant General Manager directs, manages, and optimizes a plant or production facility's overall operations and financial performance (P&L). Sets policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant General Manager systematically collects operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to meet revenue and cost goals. Supports the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant General Manager ensures robust plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures are implemented to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Leads labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. Oversees multi-functional plant teams including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, finance or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Plant General Manager manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Plant General Manager typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Our General Managers (GMs) create an environment where high energy, engagement, and performance are the norm. This position obsesses over creating exceptional customer and employee experience and continually looks for ways to improve our people, processes, and products.
GMs are responsible for hiring and managing dispensary staff and ensuring they are well-trained on the products, service, and culture that distinguish the Bloc brand. Working with an experienced Team of industry pros, you’ll ensure Team Members have clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations; and understand exactly what is required to achieve success. Sorry but no job is without paperwork. As a Bloc GM, you’ll monitor daily reports to determine if you’re on target to achieve sales and revenue targets. You’ll use financial and inventory management tools to bring a disciplined and data-driven approach to decision making; and you’ll also become an expert on cannabis regulations in the State of PA. Reading news, updates, and legislative briefs you’ll ensure all processes and transactions are 100% compliant with applicable regulations; and, that all Team Members are trained on state compliance rules.
