Plant Controller establishes and maintains the plant's financial principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Oversees the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports. Being a Plant Controller analyzes and interprets cost, budget, policies and profit opportunity trends and presents findings and recommendations to top management. Establishes procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with all relevant government and industry legislation and regulations. Additionally, Plant Controller typically reports to a CFO or top management. Requires CPA. Requires bachelor's degree. The Plant Controller manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Primary Objective
As the primary finance and accounting leader at the site, this role involves providing analysis, management reporting, planning, and accounting support to our growing global business. The ability to work independently is crucial. Prepare balance sheets and profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Complete balance sheet reconciliations. Responsibilities also include budgeting and forecasting, financial month end close process, monthly results commentary, creating and preparing financial analysis, product costing analysis, track and communicate capital expenditure projects, excess and obsolete inventory review, ad hoc reporting, and assisting site departments and other site controllers. Special projects as assigned by the Division and VP of Finance.
