The Practice NW is a small, family-owned business that has been in operation in north Thurston County for just over a year. Our purpose is to provide comprehensive business services for mental health professionals who are small-business owners, commonly referred to as private practitioners, so they can focus on offering mental health services without having to navigate the time consuming and complex tasks associated with insurance credentialing, medical billing, office leases, and other business administration responsibilities.

We are looking for a team member who shares our values and can help us strengthen and expand the array of services we offer with an initial focus on medical billing. this position would start at 10 hours per week with the potential to grow into a full-time supervisory position.
Our ideal manager would
Required Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., healthcare, business). Additional professional experience can be substituted year for year for the Bachelor’s degree.
2) At least four (4) years of experience in medical coding, medical billing, or relevant medical policy making.
3) Current certification as a Certified Professional Coder with the American Association of Professional Coders (or equivalent) or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire.
4) Extensive knowledge of insurance payor reimbursement and accounts receivable follow-up with demonstrated knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party coding requirements specific to behavioral health.
