Payroll Manager is responsible for managing payroll processing operations. Establishes policies and processes that ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions. Being a Payroll Manager interfaces between finance and human resource departments to provide accurate and useful information. Develops and produces payroll-related statistical reports. Additionally, Payroll Manager ensures accurate and on-time governmental reporting and compliance. Oversees the activities and training of both professionals and support staff. Directs the resolution of complex issues or errors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Payroll Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Payroll Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Position : Payroll Manager Location: Brickell, FL (Near Miami) Primary Responsibilities: Managing multi-state payrolls for employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing. Handling both hourly and salary payroll calculations based on different pay structures. Overseeing weekly and semi-monthly payroll schedules to ensure employees are paid on time. Developing and maintaining the payroll process, including implementing best practices and streamlining procedures. Ensuring payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax laws and reporting requirements. Collaborating with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and improve overall payroll operations. Keeping abreast of payroll laws and regulations changes to ensure the organization's payroll practices remain compliant. Providing guidance and training to staff on payroll policies and procedures. Generating reports and analyzing payroll data to support financial decision-making processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred. Proven experience in payroll management, including multi-state payroll processing. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in payroll software and systems. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
