Palletizer is responsible for set-up and operation of the automatic Palletizer, stretchwrap machine and related equipment. Takes full pallets, stretches them and puts on truck. Being a Palletizer reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine setting to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion. Additionally, Palletizer requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Palletizer works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Description
The Palletizer is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and begin growing your career in the glass manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for observing production lines to ensure they are running smoothly and there are no impediments. The Palletizer Should Have- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good interpersonal skills
- Be highly safety conscious
- Monitor the controls to ensure the palletizer machines continue to operate effectively
- Clear any jams that impede the production line
- Inspect cartons and bottles for any obvious defects
- Minor maintenance to ensure the palletizers are working smoothly
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Willing to work a rotating schedule, with weekend and holiday requirements
- Able to work in a team environment
- Able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
