York is seeking candidates for our 2024 Fall Co-op Program. The ideal York Engineering co-op is a highly motivated, proactive individual who enjoys learning and is excited about working on space hardware and real missions. Each York Space Systems co-op has the opportunity to work on York missions, while participating in a tailored engineering training program. Each co-op is provided with a dedicated Senior Engineer as a mentor and is assigned a scope bound project that is challenging yet achievable during the duration of the program. Responsibilities- Contribute to development of a high-fidelity spacecraft
- Interface with multiple engineering disciplines and project stakeholders
- Contribute to design reviews, process improvement and tool development
- Execute a time bound, well defined project which is of high value to York
- Gain hands-on assembly and test experience
- Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited university studying engineering
- Must have completed at least Freshman year of the degree program
- Ability to commit to a 40-hour work-week for the duration of the Co-Op
- Strong communicator, great team player and overall hard worker
- Self-starter and self-motivated with a hunger to learn
- An interest in full time employment at York Space Systems
- Demonstrated interest in spacecraft and space systems
- This is an in office internship
